From Thoreau on Walden Pond, to Autobiography of a Yogi, to the Beatles, to Ram Dass to today’s yoga scene, India’s Vedic heritage has been transforming American minds, bodies and spirits. Philip Goldberg, author of American Veda, will illuminate that remarkable history and reveal the many streams through which the perennial knowledge of India’s great sages have impacted our lives. With the help of photos and audios, we’ll meet the leading gurus, swamis and masters who came here, as well as the Western thinkers, artists and scientists who transmitted their teachings, often in surprising ways. You will come away with a deeper understanding of how we’ve arrived at this moment in our spiritual history and more prepared than ever to absorb Hindu philosophy -- the eternal wisdom of the East.

American Veda will be available for purchase at the events.
